Camino trip
Emily and Don RehDear all at Spain is More, First let me say Feliz Navidad! I did not intend to wait so long to send you an email thanking you for all you did to make our camino spectacular! However, since returning to the States, life seems to have gotten away from me. I expect that is the case for many people.... Read more I did want to write and let you know how much we appreciated the work you did on the planning.stages and the guide you sent. It made the walk so much easier. We found all the hotels, especially the Paradors, to be wonderful and the people very welcoming. The Camino del Norte was an amazing walk and we loved the scenery from the hills, oceans and beaches. Elevation gains did get the best of us from time to time but we just took one step at a time, and an elevator or moving sidewalk on occasion! We liked having suggestions of what to see along the way and then where to go to eat once we got into towns. There were a few instances where the places were closed (due to day of the week or our late arrival) but we really enjoyed all of the varied dishes in the north. My husband liked the Fabada so much he had it every chance he got and has even tried to replicate it at home! The walk along the del Norte was calm and peaceful and we did not see many other peregrinos. That changed when we got to the Camino Frances but we enjoyed meeting other walkers and hearing their stories. One great memory was the stay in Santillana del Mar where we encountered a group from the UK who were touring in their motor cars. The Parador there was lovely and it was fun to walk around the small town. I was surprised at the size of many of the towns where we stopped. I had not expected them to be so large. It made finding the hotels a bit interesting at first.I am glad we had an extra day in Bilbao, Santander and Leon. It made the walk that much easier. My husband has said several times that he wants to return to explore the smaller towns in a bit more depth than we could do walking through. You made the trip so easy from the start to finish and took care of all the details. Arriving in Santiago was memorable and we felt proud of our accomplishment. We hope to walk some more in Spain and maybe we will look to complete part of the Portuguese Way one day soon. I have also passed your name on to several friends who walk and are interested in the Camino. Thank you, Mil Gracias,

Camino Santiago trip
KeithGeneral remarks: This was a very well organised trip. Staff at Spain is More were always very helpful and responded to e-mails very quickly. The documentation was good and arrived in good time to be used during my planning before departure. Hotels, baggage transfers and transfer to Sarria: All ho... Read moretels and baggage arrangements were good. I particularly liked the charming (and helpful) staff at Hostal Casa Benilde in Palas de Rei, the comfortable room and good food at Hotel O Pino (especially the egg & bacon breakfast !), and the whole experience at the Hotel in Santiago. The hotel in Santiago was not only ideally placed adjacent to the old part of the city, but very close to Plaza Galicia, from where I had to catch an early bus to return to the airport. The hotel in Arzua was the least comfortable, with no hot water early in the morning and thin walls between rooms. My impression was not helped by the fact that my room overlooked a road building activity, which was noisy and periodically shook the building from 15.00 until 19.30. There were no problems with my taxi from Lavacolla to Sarria and all the baggage transfers were efficient. Excursion to Finisterre: This day trip was excellent. I appreciated the fact that we were a small group (9 people, I think), in a small mini-coach. The guide, Laura, was first class and translated everything into English for my benefit. She also answered all my questions and took the trouble to find additional information for me. We were not rushed at any time, but had 4 stops at interesting places, and saw some nice scenery while travelling.
